Maze Runner explores the subject of
sleep paralysis, a physical disorder
where individuals lose the ability to
move or speak for short periods. The
game aims to portray movement in a
realistic, relatable way, immersing the
player in the frustration and
helplessness associated with the
disorder. As someone who experiences
sleep paralysis, the project allows me
to visualize movement and give players
control over that experience.
Inspired by escape games, Maze
Runner uses 3D modeling tools like
Autodesk 3ds Max and Unreal Engine to
create a visually compelling and
interactive experience. The goal is to
evoke the disturbing effects of sleep
paralysis while maintaining
accessibility for a broad audience
